heatwave AFTER EFFECTS PLUGIN
Developed the Heatwave plugin using Red Giant's SuperNova SDK and JavaScript. The plugin takes in an input image, applies various noise maps, and displaces the image based on the noise map luminance values. The displacement varies with time, and is completely rigged for animation to simulate heat distortion. Heatwave is part of Red Giant's Universe Suite, which has been used by thousands of designers for both vfx and motion design work.
AFTER EFFECTS SCRIPTING
Developed various scripting tools to automate processes in After Effects such as creating complex camera rigs, creating glitch distortions based on layer selections, object positioning based on trigonometric parameters, and more. Some scripts have been published on CreativeDojo, and have been used by thousands of artists from various studios such as ABC & Sky. Additionally, VinhSon has done a presentation for Adobe on scripting for After Effects using ExtendScript & JavaScript.
HUE CEP HTML PANEL
Co-developed an Adobe CEP Extension Panel with Mandy Cho that creates various color palettes based on different color theory algorithms with the ability to add additional custom colors and modify existing color palettes. The color data would be piped into the After Effects workflow using ExtendScript. The UI was designed using React, Sass, and HTML5 for a fully responsive tool.
